the second digit indicates the strength of the aluminum sheet and the degree of work hardening:
generally, the degree of hardening is divided into 8 grades, 1 low, 8 high, and 9 represents a superhard state which is higher than hx8 work hardening.

the meaning of the three-digit status:

h116 state: applicable to products made of 5-series alloy with magnesium content ≥4.0%. these products have specified mechanical properties and resistance to flaking corrosion.
